Empowering Women Financially

You were missed at last week's holiday tea where we celebrated the rich history and bright future of YWCA Greater Cleveland and collected donations for the Norma Herr Women's Center.

"We are living our founders' greatest dream."
Margaret Mitchell, on the YWCA's 150th Anniversary

Many attendees asked how they could be of further assistance to the YWCA Greater Cleveland. Here are some ways to contribute to their mission of eliminating racism and empowering women:

1. Volunteer - There are many opportunities to volunteer within the Norma Herr Women's Center, the most popular being providing and serving a meal to guests.
2. Support a child in the Early Learning Center - Help close the funding gap for the Early Learning Center. The gap is $5,269 per child.
3. Make a financial contribution to the
150th Anniversary Campaign - This $1.5 million dollar campaign will support capital improvements, key programming and the YWCA's endowment fund.
4. Serve on a committee - The YWCA is currently recruiting individuals to join the planning committee for Circle, a bi-annual special event that provides funding to support the programs and services offered to young adults ages 18-24 who have aged out of foster care or been touched by homelessness.
5. Host a gathering to help spread the word - Similar to the Luma Wealth event, host a small group of your peers to learn more about the YWCA. YWCA can provide you with the invitation, help manage the guest list and loan you the fabulous Margaret Mitchell. All you need to do is provide the people... and maybe some wine!
6. Come visit - If you're interested in learning more, schedule a tour of the YWCA facility.
